Clare and Matt are two of the most genuinely sweet people I’ve come to know. Their sweet, calm nature lends themselves to very romantic and candid photos during their engagement session. I had the opportunity to photograph their downtown Chicago engagement photos on film on one of the most beautifully warm and sunny days of the season. We started our photo session at The Field Museum campus where the corinthian columns provided the most elegant and formal backdrop. Clare chose the most lovely, romantic flowing dress. The dress picked up a bit of the breeze that day and gave movement to the photos. They danced, snuggled and laughed while we stopped every so often for a few portraits. Next, we went downtown to photograph around the Chicago Wrigley Building and the Chicago Riverwalk. The warm sun kissed their cheeks as Clare and Matt held each other tight. Finally we ended our engagement session at North Avenue Beach just as the sun was starting to set. The golden light softly enveloped them as the walked in front of the Chicago skyline. It was the perfect ending to the perfect photos session on film.
