The moment she put them in, she looked like a bride. They had been worn by her great-grandma and her mother at their weddings. Those earrings sparkled as Laurel shyly smiled. The reality of the day was starting to set in. She was finally marrying the love of her life, Chris. He anxiously awaited the moment she walked down the aisle. Nervous jitters turned into a huge smile as Laurel’s dad, Ron walked her down. Ron was so proud but a little teary as he gave his one and only child away. I had the opportunity to ask him earlier that day if he felt good or a little sad about the fact that today was he was giving Laurel away. He confidently said he was excited to give her to Chris but he was a little nervous his speech. The day went off without a hitch. The bridal party was so genuinely sweet. We started off our bride and groom portraits at Cook Park’s mansion. Then they drove to a little spot I found the day before with gorgeous grandiose gates. We made sure we got lots of portraits with their Rolls Royce on their wedding day. The driver even served them champagne! Lots of love and romantic portraits before we headed to their wedding reception at the Deer Path Inn in Lake Forest. Boy, that wedding venue was so beautiful! It was traditional Tudor styled venue covered in Ivy. Chris and Laurel’s wedding pictures are what dreams are made of. They were such naturals just as they were at their downtown Chicago engagement session that we photographed earlier this year. Take a peek at my favorite wedding images below!
