Gorgeous Wedding at The Hotel Blackhawk | Summer Wedding in the Quad Cities
With tear-brimmed eyes, he took a deep breath, look at Megan and Nick and said there was one last thing he wanted them to remember. Megan’s dad, Bob, said he it was the one word inscribed on a little blue bird that sits in the kitchen of Megan’s childhood home. That word is “believe.” Bob wanted Megan and Nick to believe in the sanctity of marriage, to believe in themselves as a couple and lastly, believe in each other. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as Bob finished toasting his daughter and new son-in-law at their Hotel Blackhawk wedding reception. It was the perfect toast for the perfect wedding day. Not only did the weather hold out on its rainy forecast, the day went flawlessly thanks to wedding planner Abbey DePauw of Blissful Events by Abbey and Kaitlin Clevenger, the Hotel Blackhawk’s Wedding and Social Events Manager. They, along with the other vendors, played a huge part in making their day absolutely perfect.
