If you haven’t considered an intimate wedding at the Chicago History Museum, you must. I’m in love the old world charm, regal columns and intimate space the museum has to offer.

“This romantic, spring wedding shoot took place within the beautiful, historic walls of the Chicago History Museum. Inspired by 1900’s Chicago fashion, the color palette is full life in tones of blue, pink, green, yellow, and peach. This color palette was brought to life especially through the florals from Blooms by Morgan. The overflowing bouquet was featured beside a ceramic bust as a representation of the Chicago History Museum. For the bride, we chose a silk dress with a laced and beaded overlay from Olia Zavozina. For the groom, a black tux with a sheen lapel from The Black Tux. Sarah Ann Design captured the history of the venue with a beautiful sketch of the venue accompanied by calligraphed envelopes, while also capturing the modern aspect through clean composition and typography. Flourish Design joined the elements of the venue with the florals through a 4-tiered cake. The delicate flowers on the cake were made of sugar and smelled heavenly against the fresh aroma of the live flowers within the room. The table was adorned with scalloped plates, textured glassware, and vintage silverware to contrast the smooth linens. Each guest was given a menu and place card at their place setting. One of the main features of the venue, are the tall pillars which were the focal point of the bride and groom portraits. In between two of the pillars were urns with cascading arrangements.”
