Her hands shook a little as I handed her the bouquet. Her voice became a little quivery as she said, “okay.” She turned and took a big, deep breath towards her daughter, Kristin. Just moments before, I was speaking with Peggy, Kristin’s mom, about how gorgeous Kristin’s bouquet was. Peggy quickly pointed out the locket that was tied around the bouquet. She excitedly shard that the locket was filled with pictures of Kristin’s parent’s and grandparent’s wedding photos. There is nothing quite like adding legacy and tradition into a wedding. I knew I needed to capture this moment. I asked Peggy to present Kristin with her bouquet for the first time. As they came together and Peggy whispered the meaning of the locket to Kristin, both of their eyes welled up with tears and I knew this was the moment. The one that will be remembered for years to come.

What a gorgeous day last Saturday was! It was filled with lots of laughing, light and memory-making. Smaller weddings have always held a big part of my heart as these weddings include those people who are closest to the bride and groom.
