This bright and bold spring wedding at Greencrest Manor in Battle Creek, Michigan was one of my favorites to photograph on film. The nuances of film make this European inspired wedding venue in the Midwest even more nostalgic held with sweet reverie. Our bride wore a soft and feminine gown from Monique Lullier. The puffed sleeves and delicate details on the gown made it dream-like.

The details of this venue are incredible. Greencrest has this beautiful open air greenhouse in which the reception table was set. It provided a structured space while still allowing the beautiful gardens to be seen. The gorgeous bright and bold peonies and garden roses truly added so much lushness to the tablescapes. The other detail I’m drawn to is the crawling ivy over the manor house. It speaks to another time filled with rich European history. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know my heart longs for venues and stories from long ago. The hustle of our world stops at weddings like this. It’s like you are transported into a time long ago and you are able to be fully present when experiencing the wedding weekend.
