Whew! Where do I begin? Bethany and her mom, Lesli, have trusted me from the beginning. When I first went full time in 2011, Bethany became one of my first high school seniors that I photographed! We quickly hit it off and her session was a dream. Fast forward to this post  when I talked about opening my studio. It just so happens that this family played an integral part of making that happen. Then when I had my farewell party late 2016, Bethany brought Austin. I met him for the first time and knew exactly why Bethany’s family adored him. He doted on her and treated her like a queen. He also is super kind-hearted to everyone he meets. Lesli kept hinting that she couldn’t wait until Austin popped the question to Bethany. Well not long after the party, I got a message from Bethany that it finally happened and she knew she wanted me to photograph their wedding! I was thrilled to hear that they chose TCP at Deere Run for their wedding reception. I just love it there and couldn’t wait to serve them! You can take a peek at their engagement session here.

Quick little story that made me tear up. Bethany’s dad, Matt, is the most gentle soul I know. He is strong, quiet and reserved but has a heart of gold and loves his family fiercely. He was my landlord at the studio and I couldn’t have had a better one! Bethany asked to do a first look with him and as she walked up to him and asked him to turn around, he shook his head “no.” When he finally did and saw his daughter for the first time on her wedding day, the tears were flowing.
